I bought a Boss GS-10 yesterday from Guitar Center. It's great - blows away my Bass Pod. It works for both guitar and bass, has COSM pre-amp modeling, speaker modeling, compressor/limiter (VG!), distortion, delay, flanger, chorus, phase shifter, noise eliminator, eq, and hudreds of variations. It also has a digital SP/DIF output.
It comes with 100 presets and 100 programmable user presets.
It connects to a computer with usb and comes with editing software that makes it very easy to create new sounds. Also, it serves as a computer interface and comes with drivers for 24 bit recording ASIO, or 16 bit MMC, AND, it serves as a computer MIDI interface. The installation of the driver, editor and librarian went very smoothly and everything worked the first time.
