Also described the accommodations as “kinda like Avenue D, but you’re used to that, right?” So I know I’ll be looking for any holes in the floor with rugs over them and appliances painted with red house paint.
Later today I’m going to look at the flight situation again. It may be that the 11 hr flight time (from Orlando) did not take the time difference into account? Anyway, I told him we were looking at the weekend of Feb 25,26, but that may not pan out. Maybe we can congregate @ Don’s website and figure out a time when everyone is available? T

I talked to Brian on Sunday and don't think he can make it.
I'll recheck flight schedules tonight. I assume we'd be leaving here on the evening of the 24th. |

| the flights i was looking at, leave on Sat morning ( i have to work fri night)southwest and continental are two carriers that i cked out. gotta get ready for work. will post more when i get home tonight |

I just checked and I can get a 7hr flight on the 24th at 2pm for $490.
Here's what I came up with:
Rochester to Tucson:
Feb 24, 2pm, 7hrs. $490
Tucson to Orlando:
Feb 27, 8:15am, 5hrs. $249
Olando to Rochester
Mar 1, 10:30am, 3.5hrs. $253
Total travel time: 15.5hrs
Total price: $992
On the other hand, round trip to Orlando and back, Feb 24 - Mar 1, is about 9hrs travel time and costs $370.
Don't know about this. Are you sure we can't talk Hitch into going to Orlando? I just looked it up and he can do the round trip for about $640. Tell him I'll donate $200, which will bring him down to about $440, and I'll still save $200 and a whole lot of flying time. |
