I'll bring a bass amp, mic stand, cable, and mic., paper plates, cups, and utensils. I'll be hauling Ammo's drums to so I won't have room for much more big stuff.

I'll bring a heavy gauge 100' AC cord too. Don't know what kind of AC they've got outside of the cabin (where I assume we'll set up if the weather is good)

I think we can assume Brian will take care of the keyboards, keyboard amp, null, and maybe a P.A.?

How about a list of songs (and the key) we might want to do?

Ammo mentioned that he want's to do Superstition, the BBA / Ridgewood version.

OK-- I can/will bring:

1) P.A. (8 channel stereo w/ 2 cabs with 15' speakers and hi-end horns AND stands for 'em) (usually play keys thru it, panned to whatever side I'm on)

2) CD player (tape in-and-out on P.A.)

3) 2 mics with boom stands and cables (Shure SM58 Beta and SM58 standard)

4) sundry other stuffs like duct tape, extra cables, music stand, spare bass head (no bass speaker- used for stage monitor), wedge monitor (w-12' spkr & piezo hi driver)

So there.

Oh-- and by the way...

As to playing outside, I wonder if that's our best spot, even if it IS nice out... I've got whiteboy sun issues, not to mention how much my keyboards (and other gear, I'd reckon) suck up the sunlight and get REAL hot. Also, there's the other-guys-in-the-park issue-- you know- the one's what brought their own radio and don't wanna hear 'Flat Foot Floozie' for the 3rd time.

I vote for inside jammage, but will roll with the majority, as long as there's obtainable shade for the gear (I can whip sunscreen).

What about it?

Cool, Brian. The PA would be the hardest thing to get.

As for setting up outside, decide when you see it. If I remember correctly, the Harris picnic had a shady spot under the eaves on one side of the cabin and it was very hot inside.

BTW, Mark Peters called and is subscribed to this group.

BTW2, I just talked to Ammo again and he asked me to remind you to return his call.

Wow,it looks like w pretty much have our bases covered except for gtr amp. Thanks to all for that! As far as the inside/ outside debate, we got a lodge/cabin specifically for the purpose of jamming (and cover in case of rain). I don't even know if they would allow loud music like that outside in the park. I think Rich has a fan he can bring. Hopefully that will help if it gets warm in there.

I've got a little Crate gtr amp (8' speaker) that sounds pretty good, but I doubt that it's got enough power unless we mic it or put it through the PA. Or maybe Bob and/or Mark can bring one..

RE: outside. I've been to 4 Harris picnics where we jammed outside from noon til 9pm and no one complained. Ange Costanza was the park official then though

You guys got any song suggestions besides the Bluto standards? Brian mentioned Moondance (in G) and Ammo suggested Superstition.

As to songs to do, while we do have a body of tunes in common, it'd be great if everyone brought song suggestions (with lyrics!) along with 'em. That way we can avoid the possibility of running on empty. (ooo! ooo!)

I can bring some guitar amps (3), guitars, cars, bananas, troll dolls, gold, and an electrical plug.

I have at least one mic stand and a mic.

And my feet (at least for now...)
